Goals

Medical Ethics and Managed Care is designed for those wishing more information about risk management, and topics appropriate for medical ethics and professional responsibility.

Objectives

  1. Understand the ethical dilemmas created by managed care constraints on medical practice.
  2. Be able to discuss two types of risk associated with practice in a managed care environment.
  3. Be able to analyze a case study to identify the ethical and risk management implications of practice in a managed care environment.

Methodology

This seminar is a self-study seminar, with CME test.

Target Audience

This seminar is designed for physicians of all specialties who want to sharpen their risk management skills. A basic knowledge of risk management and malpractice is assumed.
